Bhutan
is perhaps the last tourist destination in the world. This Hidden kingdom has preserved a wealth of sights for visitors. The population of 6, 50000 people in Bhutan enjoy a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with nature. Almost 80% of the population still lives in small villages scattered over the mountainous valleys, practicing Agriculture, growing the Bhutanese Red Rice, seasonal vegetables and fruits. Rice is the staple diet in Bhutan.   The rich environment is still pristine and intact. Bhutan has almost 72% of the land area under forest cover harboring some of the most exotic species of wild life, flora and fauna. There are about 700 species of birds, 50 species of rhododendrons, besides variety of medicinal plants and orchids. Many areas which are identified and declared as wildlife reserve are the natural habitat of those rare species of flora, fauna and the wild life. Bhutan has been identified as one of the ten bio-diversity hot spots in the world.

The unique development philosophy of GROSS NATIONAL HAPPINESS is the development concept of Bhutan. It is based on the concept of economic growth & development, preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, preservation and sustainable use of the environment and good governance. This far sighted Royal vision will be a continuing process towards achieving the country's goal of High value, low impact and environmentally manageable tourism. There are no backpackers and individual traveler to Bhutan. All travels are pre-arranged package, guided tour. The country has consciously adopted this controlled tourism policy to retaining its distinct cultural entity and the future tourism is also not expected to increase drastically.

There are three major ethnic groups in Bhutan with their own dialect.
1. Sharchogp: The Eastern part of Bhutan.
2. Ngalong: Ngalong
