| Hot Air Ballooning |
Ballooning has just been starting in to this mountainous
country. Till date there had been only two times Hot
Air Balloon meet in Bhutan. The first meet in 1993 and
the last meet in 1998, handled by yeti tours and the
team captain/ Chief pilot, Mr. Neil Robertson, UK. Although
Bhutan is a mountainous country with large forested
areas and limited excess roads for retrieve, balloonist
had a successful flight and the spectacular views from
the balloon is the highest climax in the today's world
of ballooning.
Since ballooning is not a commercial business in Bhutan,
balloonists have to bring their own balloons and also
required proper documents to be able to fly in Bhutan.
